Who We Are
Model Energy is a licensed professional engineering firm focused on structural and electrical design for renewable energy systems including solar, storage, EV charging, and emerging technologies. We work directly with installers, developers, and contractors to provide stamped engineering designs, permit documentation, and post-installation support that’s accurate, compliant, and ready when you need it.
This isn’t a new direction for us. Renewable energy is where we started, and it’s where we’ve stayed. With two decades of specialized experience, we’ve supported this industry from its early days into the world-changing technology it is today.

Why We Started Model Energy
Before renewable energy was mainstream, we were already deep in the work.
Too often, engineering gets treated as a checkbox to be outsourced, overlooked, or left to generalists with no real stake in the outcome. We saw how that approach negatively impacts renewable energy projects, so we decided to become the better way.
Model Energy was founded by engineers who were in the field when solar energy and renewable technology were still finding their footing. We didn’t pivot into this industry—we grew with it. And we’ve spent years helping raise the standard, guiding clients through the evolving landscape with technical insight and practical solutions that hold up in the real world.
